Yves Perron MP

Yves Perron is the Bloc Québécois Member of Parliament for Berthier-Maskinongé and critic for agriculture, agri-food and supply management. He is Vice-Chairman of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food, and of the Canada-China Association.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in economics and a minor in communications and political science, as well as training in teaching and administration. As a teacher for 25 years, he combined teaching economics, history and geography with various cultural projects and tourist and humanitarian trips with young people.
Highly committed to his community, Yves Perron has also chaired a number of civil and political organisations. A long-time campaigner for Quebec independence, he has served as national president of the Bloc Québécois.
