Dep. Rodrigo Saraiva

Rodrigo Saraiva has been a Member of the Portuguese Parliament since 2022 and is one of the founders of Iniciativa Liberal. He served as the party’s first parliamentary group leader and was elected Vice-President of Parliament in both the 16th and 17th legislatures, a position he currently holds. Since first taking office, he has served on the Foreign Affairs and Portuguese Communities Committee and has also worked on national defence, culture, media, youth and sports. His political work has been guided by a strong commitment to human rights, democracy, freedom, the rule of law and the self-determination of people. He has focused particularly on Ukraine, Venezuela, Iran, China, Taiwan and the Portuguese-speaking world, advocating a principled Portuguese foreign policy that stands with peoples facing foreign aggression or authoritarian rule.
