Dep. João Pinho de Almeida

João Pinho de Almeida is a Member of the Portuguese Parliament and spokesperson for the CDS - People’s Party (Centro Democrático e Social – Partido Popular) With more than two decades of political and parliamentary experience, he has served as an MP in seven legislatures and as Secretary of State for Internal Administration in Portugal’s 19th and 20th Constitutional Governments. His career also includes experience in local government, as a city councilor in São João da Madeira, as well as in the legal and business sectors. He is a qualified lawyer, and holds a law degree and a master’s degree in Economics and Public Policy.
