Arild Hermstad MP

Arild Hermstad is the leader of the Green Party (MDG) and has served as a Member of the Norwegian Parliament (Storting) for Oslo since 2025. He serves on the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence and the Enlarged Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee. Between 2001 and 2016, he led the NGO "The Future in Our Hands", Norway's largest environmental advocacy organisation focused on reducing overconsumption and promoting social justice. He also served in various roles on the Oslo City Council between 2019 and 2025.
